Job Description:

  • To expand the loan portfolio as per the institutional Budgeting.
  • To perform regularly on loan transaction managerial work like supervise & categorize the all Loan Files.
  • Taking the Loan interview & provide the financial Counselling to the members.
  • Ensure the real cash flow of members and proceed the loan file to Senior authorities.
  • Provide the information to the concerned members regarding Loan payment in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring Loan lending process as per the Janakalyan saccos strategic business plan.
  • Loan follow up regularly and updates at CBS & LMS Software.
  • Develop the Loan recovery action plan & implementation those plan as per the target. Regularly field visit for Loan supervision & Loan Recovery Management.
  • Policy & procedure Formation & update for Saccos.
  • Honestly follow the instructions given by the head of the organization.
  • Supervision the functions of department heads, Service Center offices & provide guidance to them.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the organization’s goals.
  • The Senior Manager will be accountable /responsible to the CEO.
  • Ensure that the Janakalyan saving and Credit Co-operative Society Ltd operates in compliance with good governance practice.

Job Specification (Qualification & Key competences):

  •  Education: At least second division in a Bachelor degree in Management, Banking, Finance, Business Administration or Qualified Chartered Accountant from any recognized Institution.
  • Experience: Proven knowledge of Cooperative Sector with an experience of at least 3 years in Officer Level in Financial Institution.
  • Skill: Most have Motorcycle Driving license and well versed with MS Office tools, Financial Software like CBS operation and ability to use various financial models.
  • Knowledge: Must have excellent knowledge of Co-Operative law & Directives, Marketing Skills and strong desire for self-development. Proven knowledge and skill for Proposal writing, Strategic planning and implementation.
  • Ability: works in a team from the leadership role, prepare policy & procedure in Co-operative Sector, complete tasks timely and independently with minimal work supervision, Strong ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and fulfil the institutional targets.
  • Preferences shall be given to candidate having experience on Loan Management in officer Level at Financial Institution. And who having long-term working Desire.

BBC Media Action reaches some 200 million people through local broadcast partners, BBC channels (especially the BBC World Service), online, mobile and print platforms and through interpersonal communication. We are currently delivering projects in 24 countries, including in Nepal. BBC Media Action has been working on communication for development projects in Nepal since 2007, giving us a well-developed understanding of Nepali audiences and significant experience of producing and evaluating media content on a range of issues to diverse target audiences.

BBC Media Action Nepal is hiring a Mentoring and Partnerships Officer to work full time for a project that is focused on building resilience of communities towards climate related natural hazards. Through this project, BBC Media Action with be working with line agencies, partners, and stakeholders to develop and share Weather and Climate Information Systems for the most vulnerable to climate change.

“The role may involve working with groups of vulnerable children and adults. Job purpose

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Mentoring and Partnerships Coordinator will be the focal person for coordination with media and civil society partners. S/he will be responsible for improving and strengthening BBC Media Action’s relationship and collaboration with local media and civil society partners in Nepal. The Mentoring and Partnerships Coordinator will lead training and mentoring initiatives for media partners. S/he will work collaboratively with the project and research team on the design and roll-out of Training Needs Assessment to ensure that all mentoring and training is relevant and clearly aligned to learning needs and preferred learning styles.

Main Duties

  • Improve and strengthen BBC Media Action’s relationship and collaboration with the local media and civil society partners.

  • Support the Project team in enhancing engagement with current and prospective partners and to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of collaboration with partners.

  • Support the Project Manager in the development of memorandums of understanding, partnership agreements and joint action plans with partners.

  • Take the lead in conducting Training Needs Assessment of local partners to identify learning and training priorities.

  • Design and provide intensive training and mentoring for local partners in coordination with project and research teams.

  • Provide training and mentoring to partners on how they can create engaging, audience led programmes.

  • Maintain a database of ongoing partnerships.

  • Contribute across a range of editorial activities within the Nepal team, including offering ideas for future programme topics, selecting panellists, forward planning and background research.

  • Other activities as assigned by the Country Director.

Key Responsibilities:

With close collaboration and consultation with the Project Coordinator, the individual will be responsible for providing technical assistance to health and nutrition programs (including School Health and Nutrition, Adolescent Reproductive Health, and Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health) integrated with education (Early Childhood Care and DevelopmentBasic Education, and ASST and livelihood-related activities.

The responsibilities include identifying the real needs of the community in the field of health and nutrition, coordinating with municipalities, schools, health posts, and youth groups, conducting technical training for focal teachers, health facility staff, youth groups, and adolescent girls and boys.   • Able to Organize and facilitate training/orientation regarding health-related contents in the field.

  • Able to develop monthly plan, annual plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate education related activities.
